A Colombian human rights activist who recently spoke out against abuses in the area he lived was gunned down at his farm on Monday, sparking demands from other activists that an investigation into the murder be launched.According to reports Jhonny Hurtado was on his farm near La Catalina when he was shot to death by unknown assailants. Hurtado, 59, had recently spoken with a British delegation of union activists concerning human rights abuses in the area and now that delegation has called on the Colombian government to investigate the murder.
