Over the Easter weekend, more than 60 South African church leaders and lay inter-faith theologians have responded to the Kairos Palestine Document, launched in December 2009 by a group of Palestinian Christians.

They unequivocally reject Christian Zionism and theologies that justify the Israeli occupation, endorse the boycott campaign against Israel and denounce the links between the South African and Israeli governments. By comparing parallel experiences, they significantly conclude that conditions for Palestinians are even worse than those prevailing in South African apartheid.
