8 of 2010 July - This week, the mayors of the Department of Bulging, amazonian territory in Bolivia, emitted a public uprising expelling to the Agency the International from Development from the United States (USAID) from their region. According to the uprising, the mayors of Bulging also solved to expel the operators, contractors and agencies that collaborate with the USAID in their jurisdiction, due to the “infiltration of Bolivian social organizations with destabilizing aims” against the process of changes that leads President Evo Morales.
“Like mayors of the greater amazonian territory, populated by men and worthy women, we sovereign decided in each of our jurisdictions to expel to all the NGOs, companies, agencies and projects financed by the government of the United States, through USAID and their allies”, emphasized the uprising. “We expressed ours repudio and rejection to the political maneuvers that companies, agencies and civil servants paid by USAID and the government of the USA realise in order to generate internal conflicts in the country to undermine the legitimacy of this historical process of national liberation”,
alerted the mayors of Bulging. IMMEDIATE DECISION The expulsion of the USAID in the amazonian territory of Bolivia is made effective immediately, according to the official notice, “From the date, no NGO, foundation, national or foreigner, company and/or project that do not count on the authorization of the mayors and its municipal advice some in our territory will be able to make intervention”.
The uprising blames the USAID and its programs in Bolivia “to take part abusively… under the maquillaje of the fight against the poverty, preservation of the environment”, but “with capitalist approach and racist programs denominated `protection of landscapes indígenas' [that] supplants the authority of the municipalities and politically takes part in the indigenous communities and farmers”.
MONEY LAUNDERING Also they denounced that the USAID and their agents break financial laws and are involved in the money laundering, “Tens of colonized NGOs and Colonising they operate in our territories and several million dollars circulate clandestinely around the communities”. Other countries like Venezuela and Ecuador, could follow the steps worthy of the Bolivian town and to make similar decisions to protect the sovereignty of their nations against the interferences and interferences of the American agencies.
