After nearly 18 years of litigation, an Ecuadorian court has ordered Chevron to pay $9.5 billion to help the victims of its widespread oil pollution in the Amazon. But Chevron refuses to pay and has vowed an all-out legal, political and public relations assault to evade accountability. Now, a New York Judge is trying to preemptively block enforcement of the judgment against the oil giant.
