A new report from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute says India has become the world's largest arms importer. India accounted for 9% of all weapons imports between 2006 and 2010. Last month, India announced it would buy 250 to 300 stealth fighter jets from Russia over the next 10 years, worth up to $30 billion. The US remains the world's largest weapons’ exporter.
