 Iran plans to boost its capacities and capabilities to make huge and rapid advancements in drug production, aerospace, nanotechnology, civilian nuclear energy, optoelectronics and other fields in 14 years.In technology, the country plans to make advancement in laser, photonic, biosensors, chemical sensors, semiconductors, shipbuilding, polymers, aerospace, nuclear fusion, nanotechnology, oil, gas, biotechnology, automation and robotic fields.

Other fields of progress stressed in the document included mine exploration and mining, quake and flood prediction, civil defense, optoelectronics, telecommunication networks, network security, catalysts, medical engineering, metal alloys, magnetic fields and materials, offshore structures, rail and road transportation, urbanization and trafficking.
