A slew of Cambridge residents on Monday criticized an Anti-Defamation League-sponsored trip last year to Israel in which public safety officials learned counterterrorism strategies ... Resident Alan Meyers said he was “deeply disturbed” by the trip. "What Israel euphemistically calls counterterrorism is for the most part an assault on a defenseless, unarmed civilian population," he said. "It is a mechanism of oppression suited to employment in a police state, a status I do not regard our city as having obtained. At least not yet."
