Almost half of Europeans say Israel is engaged in a genocide of Palestinians, according to an opinion poll released Friday by the Berlin-based Friedrich-Ebert Foundation, affiliated to Germany's opposition Social Democratic Party (SPD).  Asked specifically whether Israel is 'conducting a war of extermination against the Palestinians,' nearly half of the respondents in seven European countries believed this was true. Some 63.3 percent of Poles were of this belief followed by 48.8 percent of Portuguese, 47.7 percent of Germans, 42.2 percent of Brits, 41 percent of Hungarians, 38.7 percent of Dutch people and 37.6 percent of Italians.  The latest survey is in line with an earlier European poll which had shown that  Europeans view the Zionist regime as the greatest danger to global peace.
