One killed, 130 injured in Jordan protests http://english.iribnews.ir/NewsBody.aspx?ID=13171A Jordanian has been killed and at least 130 others injured following the clashes between the opposition demonstrators and the government loyalists. A medical source in the capital Amman said Khairy Saad Jamil died at the Prince Hamzeh Hospital, but the cause of his death was not specified, AFP reported on Friday. Police chief Hussein Majali said the man died of a heart attack, while Jamil's son insisted that his 55-year-old father had gotten several blows to his body. Reports also indicate that riot police used water cannons to put an end to clashes between protesting students demanding reforms and government supporters. The clashes were triggered when around 200 regime loyalists attacked protesters with rocks and stones in the central Gamal Abdel Nasser Square. On Thursday night, at least 30 students were injured when their protest camp was raided by loyalists to the government after police cut power supply to the square. The students shouted, "The revolution is happening all around us. Jordan, your turn is coming."
