U.S. diplomats in Costa Rica have offered help in the construction of the "Centro de Intervenciones Telefónicas" (Telephone Intervention Centre), that the Poder Judicial (Judicial Branch) will be building in their effort to fight drug trafficking and increase public security.The press office of the Judicial Branch reported that the president of the Supreme Court, Luis Paulino Mora, met with U.S. Ambassador, Anne S. Andrew, along with the country representative of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Phillip Springer and Marcelyn Sánchez, attached to anti-narcotics matters.The meeting was held in the Supreme Court building and the main objective of the visit was to reaffirm the value of cooperating with the efforts of the judiciary to strengthen security, especially the urgency of implementing the Telephone Intervention Centere because it is a key tool for dismantling drug trafficking organizations, the press release said.
