Thousands Shia in Qatif protested in solidarity with the people of Bahrain last night, March 17th. Witnesses confirmed that protesters shot by riot police in al-Qatif. Police shot protesters with live bullets amid demonstration. There was Heavy fire between riot police and thousands of protesters in Qatif (Eastern province of Saudi Arabia ) which left tens casualties and arrests. Riot police fired stun grenades, tear gas, and heavy fire in the air to disperse demonstrator.More than three thousand demontrators including clerics and women continued their peaceful march in Qatif despite the tight security by riot police. They chanted: we are One Nation, not Two... Qatif and Bahrain... and Bahrain is free, free .... Peninsula Shield get out.

Fresh protests erupt in Saudi Arabia’s eastern region of Qatif as government dispatches tanks to the troubled areas and protesters reiterate calls for politicalreform and release of prisoners.housands of protestors, angry at the Saudi occupation of Bahrain and the systematic violence directed at the Bahraini people, called for the withdrawal of all Saudi forces from Bahrain.Demonstrations took place in Safwa, Tarout, Saihat and Qatif on Thursday, where demonstrators raised the Bahraini flag. They also called for the release of political prisoners in Saudi Arabia who are held for long periods without trial.Police fired live rounds to disperse the more than 4,000 protesters in Qatif, witnesses said, adding that they have seen tens of tanks on their way to Qatif.
