We are pleased to invite you to attend the 14th Annual Colloquium on Western Hemisphere Security, to be presented from May 8 to 10, 2011, by a consortium of leading universities and think-tanks. This year's colloquium, on Transforming Public Security in the Americas, will take place at the Foggy Bottom campus of The George Washington University, in downtown Washington, DC. The colloquium springs from a concern that traditional approaches to ensuring security for the citizens of the Americas are proving wanting in the face of the growing power and sophistication of international criminal forces. To understand better the need to transform public security paradigms and gain citizen support, the organizers are convening five panels of international experts, as well as several distinguished keynote speakers. The program will include networking breakfasts and luncheons, and a reception for conference delegates.
