Iran's President calls the Sept. 11 attacks a 'big lie' http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100306/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_iran_2

Iran's hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Saturday called the official version of the Sept. 11 attacks a "big lie" used by the U.S. as an excuse for the war on terror, state media reported.Ahmadinejad's comments, made during an address to Intelligence Ministry staff, come amid escalating tensions between the West and Tehran over its disputed nuclear program. They show that Iran has no intention of toning itself down even with tighter sanctions looming because of its refusal to halt uranium enrichment."September 11 was a big lie and a pretext for the war on terror and a prelude to invading Afghanistan," Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying by state TV. He called the attacks a "complicated intelligence scenario and act."The Iranian president has questioned the official U.S. version of the Sept. 11 attacks before, but this is the first time he ventured to label it a "big lie."

Fed up and fired up, an increasing number of Indiana residents who have lost confidence in the government are going to extreme measures to claim they are "sovereign citizens."By doing so, residents contend that they no longer have to pay taxes, claiming their homes as embassies and using identification cards that show them as diplomats, 6News' Rafael Sanchez reported.Indiana authorities call such proclamations both illegitimate and illegal. About 10 people every month ask the state to put a seal on a document so that they can claim freedom from taxes.

Perpetual Attack War is  coming  by Eva Golinger http://www.telesurtv.net/noticias/entrev-reportajes/index.php?ckl=475

The first official report on the priorities for security and defense presented during the new Obama administration was that of "global threats" by the National Directorate of Intelligence. Venezuela has been mentioned in this report in previous years, but not with such dedication and focus as this year. This time, Venezuela - and particularly the president Chavez - was identified as one of the principles threats against U.S. interests worldwide. "The President of Venezuela Hugo Chávez has established itself as one of the main critics against the U.S. at the international level, derailing the model of liberal democracy and market capitalism, and rejecting U.S. policies and interests in the region, "the report said, putting Venezuela in the same category as Iran, North Korea and Al Qaeda.

Days later, the State Department presented its 2011 budget to Congress. Besides the increase in funding requested by USAID and the NED to fund opposition political groups in Venezuela - more than $ 15 million - there was a request of $ 48 million for the Organization of American States (OAS) to " the deployment of special teams to 'promote democracy' in countries where democracy is under threat due to the growing presence of alternative concepts such as 'participatory democracy' promoted by Venezuela and Bolivia. " And a week later, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) of the OAS - financed by Washington - has published a 322-page report accusing Venezuela of being a violator of human rights and freedom of expression and undermine democracy regional.

Despite it being a report - and a Commission - devoted to human rights, not even a mention in the tremendous achievements that the government of President Chavez had been in the field. Instead, only discussing issues related to civil and political rights - the only rights recognized in the U.S. alone, ignoring the economic, social cultural rights wich actually compose the essence of what is human rights. The evidence used for the report of the IACHR were taken from witnesses and opposition media in Venezuela, demonstrating its full blindness. But despite its distorted posture and lack of hard evidence, these reports are used to justify Washington's aggressive actions against Venezuela thru international public opinion.

INTERNATIONAL ORCHESTRA As President Chavez stated in reaction to the bombing campaign of reports and accusations against his government, "There is an international orchestra against Venezuela at this  time, a permanent aggression directed from the American Empire". But not new. Since 2005, these reports and statements have been increasing in intensity and violent character.  Five years ago was the first time Washington had classified Venezuela as a country that was not cooperating with the fight against drug trafficking in its annual report on narcotics control in the world. Months before the start of that report in 2005, Venezuela had suspended cooperation with the anti-drug agency of the U.S., the DEA, because it had discovered acts of espionage and sabotage against the efforts of anti-drug command in Venezuela.

Since then Venezuela has improved significantly in drug seizures, arrests of drug kingpins and has destroyed  drug laboratories along the border with Colombia - the country's largest producer of drugs in the world. However, the report on the matter of the State Department this year, published on March classifies Venezuela as a "drug trafficker country and country" accomplice "to drug trafficking - completely unfounded accusations for wich there is no real evidence.  Simultaneously, a Spanish court accused the Venezuelan government of supporting and collaborating with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and ETA - two terrorist organizations by the U.S. and Spain - creating an international controversy over the media, and causing a tension between the governments of Spain and Venezuela.

President Chavez has reiterated many times that his government has no connection either with the FARC or the ETA, or any terrorist group. "This is a government of peace," Chavez said, after explaining that the presence of some members of ETA in Venezuela is due to an agreement made nearly 20 years ago by the government of Carlos Andrés Pérez for help with a peace treaty between Spanish government and the irregular group.

IMPERIAL POLITICS HAS NO COLOR  This week, on tour in Latin America, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has thrown darts against Venezuela in their various statements to the media. She expressed her "grave concern" for democracy in Venezuela, accusing the government of President Chavez of not "contributing constructively" to regional development. Cynically, Venezuela advised Clinton to "look more toward the south" rather than its good relations related to Cuba. Clinton's tour is due to a strategy announced by the Obama administration, to create a division between what they see as left "progressive" and "radical" left in Latin America. It is no coincidence that this trip around the region - the longest since the start of the Obama administration - it is done just after the Unity Summit in Cancun, where it was agreed to create a community of Latin American and Caribbean States, without the presence U.S. and Canada.

Former Secretary of State under President George W. Bush, Condoleezza Rice, declared in January 2005 that "Hugo Chávez is a negative force in the region", giving birth to a policy of hostility and aggression towards Venezuela. Clinton has continued the same policies of his predecessor, seeking to isolate and discredit the Venezuelan government and the figure of Hugo Chávez. Her intention is to implement the plan for "regime change" in the country with the largest oil reserves in the world.

WAR COMING,The time to prepare a war is not overnight. It is a process that involves first the preparation of international public opinion - demonizing the enemy leader or government to justify the aggression. Then, train and place military forces in the region to ensure the effectiveness and potential military action. At the same time the counter and subversion tactics  are used to weaken and destabilize the target country from within, and placing it in a more vulnerable and less prepared way to defend themselves. All this is under way against Venezuela for several years. The consolidation of regional unity and integration increasingly threatens the recovery of imperial control over the hemisphere. And the internal developments of the Bolivarian Revolution prevent "self-destruction" that the Imperial forces acting within Venezuelan territory are constantly provoking. However, the rule will not cease to seek ways and techniques to achieve their ultimate goal, and we can not rule out the possibility in the near future of a war in this region.
