Chris Herz // Halleluja ... I'm a Terrorist http://www.vheadline.com/readnews.asp?id=93593

The Supreme Court of the USA has decided by a vote of 6 versus 3 that anyone offering any support at all to any organization deemed "terrorist" should spend the rest of his or her life in solitary confinement. This means that as soon as the US State Department bureaucracy can label President Chavez a terrorist, or a supporter of terrorists, I can be imprisoned for the rest of my life for offering to him, and to those persons in his country who can think of some better destiny than being hewers of wood and drawers of oil for the empire, my wholehearted support.

Well, I wish to pre-empt this legal illegality. I support with all my heart the efforts of the Venezuelan people and their leader to break with the empire. I support the work of Daniel Ortega in attempting to find some way for his tiny and weak nation to find its own way in the world without kissing butt on Wall Street. I support the efforts of the people of Haiti to end the never-ending succession of miserable US interventions in their country, each one of which, Washington says will bring to that people the blessings of good governance and democracy.

Well, they have had sixteen or seventeen opportunities and it has not happened yet. Instead we see a country looted of everything which can be loaded on a ship or airplane and sent north.3,000 and more Chilenos can testify with their blood that the Washington empire's intentions are far from benign. And in the empire's newest colony, Colombia, sister republic to Bolivarian Venezuela, at least 150,000 citizens have been murdered by their own government in the course of the long war against the FARC-EP, which likewise I am proud to support.
