Army finds 10 bodies of 'AUC' in mass grave http://colombiareports.com/colombia-news/news/15917-army-finds-10-bodies-of-auc-in-mass-grave.html

The army has found 10 bodies thought to be former AUC members in a mass grave in the municipality of Toledo, northern Antioquia department, reported El Tiempo. After three days of excavations and examinations, investigators believe the bodies belong to members of the Mineros Bloc of the now demobilized AUC paramilitary organization, headed by Ramiro Vanoy Murillo, alias "Cuco." The remains found by the troops will be transferred to laboratories in the city of Pereira for further analysis and full identification, while the army and the Prosecutor General's Office continue work at the scene to search for more bodies. It has not yet been determined when the bodies were buried. The municipality of Toledo suffered heavily from paramilitary action in the 1990's, with regular reports of kidnappings and forced displacements."Cuco" was extradited to the United States in May 2008 and in October 2009 was sentenced to 24 years prison by the Federal Court in South Florida.
