Karbala sends letter of denunciation to US Embassy http://www.abna.ir/data.asp?lang=3&Id=244109

The deputy chairman of Karbala's Provincial Council disclosed that a letter of denunciation shall be handed to the U.S. Embassy due to the U.S. Army's airborne landing north of Karbala, calling on the central government to exert pressures on the U.S. army to cease its violations.Nisayif Al-Khatabi told Aswat al-Iraq that "the U.S. forces carried out an airborne landing on house to arrest a citizen without any coordination with the local government or security forces." 

"We have informed the Cabinet about this case and demanded the reasons behind this operation. We will send a letter of denunciation to the U.S. embassy, expressing our rejection for such acts, which are in violation of the security agreement between the two countries," he added.Earlier, a security source said that the wanted citizen had died four days prior to the operation.U.S. forces withdrew from the city on 15 May in preparation for full withdrawal at the end of the year.The U.S. headquarters were handed to the Iraqi army in a special ceremony.Karbala city, center of Karbala province, lies 108 km south of the capital, Baghdad.
