SYRIANS OF OCCUPIED GOLAN SEEK SUPPORT FOR THEIR RIGHT TO RETURN TO THEIR LANDS http://www.namnewsnetwork.org/v2/read.php?id=162382

People of the occupied Syrian Golan have called on the United Nations, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and permanent member countries in the Security Council to support their right to return to their homes and lands that were usurped by Israel. In a document delivered to the offices of the international organisations and embassies of Security Council member countries here, a delegation representing the people of Golan called on the UN, the ICRC and the Security Council to work to implement the international agreements that affirm the need for Israel to withdraw from the entire Syrian Golan and the right of its people to return to their homeland.

The delegation affirmed that the people of Golan have the right to use all available means to liberate their lands and return to their homes, expressing confidence that international legitimacy will guarantee their rights of return and restoring their occupied lands. The document pointed out to Israel's criminal acts against the people of the occupied Golan that include displacement, destruction of towns and villages, murder and imprisonment, with Israel making use of its ability to challenge international laws and agreements that protect civilians in times of war.The document also noted that the people in the villages of Golan are suffering from repression, and that Israel is starving them and arresting them arbitrarily, with many of them sitting in Israeli occupation jails for many years. --------------------------------

PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY SLAMS ISRAEL'S DECISION TO BRING IN JEWS FROM INDIA http://www.namnewsnetwork.org/v2/read.php?id=162364

The Palestinian Authority has slammed Israel's decision to bring in Jews from northeast India to Israel.According to Monday’s issue of the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the ministerial committee convened under Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and decided to bring in 7,300 Jews from India to Israel. The report highlighted that up until 2007, 1,700 Indian Jews were brought in to Israel, and immigration stopped since then.

Palestinian Authority spokesman Ghassan Khatib said the decision was taken in line with Israel’s policy to bring non-Israeli Jews to Israel at the expense of the Palestinian people. Meanwhile, he added, Israel prevents the Palestinians from returning to their homeland to live there. "This is something we condemn, and since we don't have enough information, we need to contact the Indian government for an explanation," he told Ma’an.
