UK Media Accused Of Broadcasting Khalifa's Lies http://www.islamtimes.org/vdccoiq4.2bqss8y-a2.html

Analysts have accused the UK media of being a means of broadcasting the Bahraini regime's constant lies, blaming the Bahraini doctors for treating anti-government protesters... In a move to back the regime of King Hamad Al Khalifa, UK media published the claims that the arrested doctors and nurses had scattered blood on the patients, trying to show that the pro-regime forces had attacked the anti-government protesters and they were being in bad situations.

Around 84 members of Bahraini medical staff stood at the country's court, for allegedly planning to destabilize the government during the extensive protests earlier this year. It is also claimed that the hospitals served as suitable bases for terrorists, adding that the doctors had distributed knives and guns to the protesters by the ambulances. According to the figures from human rights groups, a large number of protesters were tortured, some were seriously wounded and some were killed directly by the Bahraini forces. Now the analysts are asking the UK media if these figures were also part of the Bahraini doctors' charges.

The British government had formerly shown supportive behavior to King Al Khalifa's regime, protecting it from sanctions and refraining from taking the case of Bahraini leaders' crimes against humanity to the International Criminal Court (ICC).Physicians for Human Rights said that some other doctors and nurses were also detained, tortured or disappeared because they had "evidence of the atrocities committed by the authorities, security forces, and riot police" in the crackdown on anti-government protesters. The Bahraini anti-government demonstrators say they will hold their ground until their demands for freedom, a constitutional monarchy and a voice in the government are met.
