Anthony Lawson, American researcher and Vietnam War veteran, has recently compiled a video program called “The Death of American Democracy” in which he describes how Israel's total control over the U.S. Congress is eroding the fabrics of the American democracy.The video primarily focuses on U.S.-Israeli relations and turns the viewer's attention to the Israeli premier's recent address to the U.S. Congress.“The Death of American Democracy is about the way that the Congress of the United States basically ignores the wishes of the people and goes ahead and supports a regime which is not very pleasant, that is, Israel” Lawson said in an interview with Press TV's U.S. Desk on Sunday.

He said that he was “absolutely staggered” by repeated standing ovations that American lawmakers gave Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu while he was addressing the U.S. Congress on May 24.“He could have said the sky is blue and they would have stood up and applauded him.”Lawson added that receiving such applause indicates the “total control” that Israel has over the U.S. “the most powerful military machine in the world.”“The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has caused many [American] politicians to lose their seats because if they don't stand up and salute Israel and its policies they don't get the funding,” he said.
