If the tensions between Iran and the United States were not apparent enough, it just became that much clearer today. According to a Wall Street Journal report, senior US officials have claimed that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iran’s most elite military unit, has provided lethal arms to Iran’s allies in Iraq in Afghanistan, including the Taliban.

According to the report, the Guard smuggled rocket propelled grenades in order to allow longer range attacks on American troops in the region. Apparently this is an attempt to speed up the United States’ withdrawal from these countries. However, the WSJ and the “senior US officials” seem to lack any ability to think with even a remote semblance of logic...
