Despite London's claims about supporting freedom of expression, the British police have arrested three internet users as part of a broader clampdown on social networking sites under security excuses. Police are continuing to arrest members of the public accused of using social networking sites such as Facebook to instigate riots. Cheshire Police confirmed that it has arrested and charged three men for posting notices on social sites attempting to incite disorder, media reports said.

"The arrests follow a robust approach by Cheshire Police to any individuals suspected of promoting criminality via social networking sites," the force said. "As part of the approach a number of young people have received police advice in the presence of their parents around postings on their social networking sites or messages forwarded via social media."

Tehrani students gather to protest to UK hostile policies http://www.irna.ir/ENNewsShow.aspx?NID=30519938&SRCH=1

A group of Tehrani students on Sunday staged a sit-in outside the UK Embassy in protest to London's discriminatory policies. The demonstrating Students chanted such slogans as 'Death to the UK', 'Death to the US', and ‘BBC the Liar’ to express their hatred of the colonial power. Holding placards, featuring recent murders, they condemned the UK government’s measures in assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists. The UK is grappling with the tensions over week which are rooted, according to the experts, in discriminatory policies in all fields, especially the economic field. At least five have been killed and tens injured during the riots with hundreds being arrested. International civil institutes consider the UK police behavior as a clear manifestation of human rights violation.
