Agitation in Syria the Result of US and Israelis Policies http://www.rohama.org/en/pages/?cid=5947

“The US ambassador to Syria had been moving around town to provoke and encourage the demonstrators and the anti-government elements,” said senior Indian journalist in an article, mailed to IRNA. According to Rohama,Kazmi, who is chief editor of Media Star News & Features, has visited Syria recently to witness and observe the current scenario.

“The developments in Syria are being watched by the international community with great apprehension and anxiety. The opponents of President Bashar al-Asad have not only been calling for political reforms but the ouster of the regime. The common slogan on Arab streets, “ash-sha’b Yureed isqat an-nizam” (the nation wants this regime to fall), was shouted by a few youth in front of the governor’s office at Hama even as a large number of foreign journalists and other guests recently travelled to the city to take stock of the situation,' Kazmi wrote in his article.

The Indian journalist, who was part of a team of over 150 journalists and political observers from across the globe visting Syria said that during the four-day visit, the journalists were taken to Hama city, the hotbed of the recent anti-Bashar demonstrations. The visiting journalists saw both sides of the story. The governor of Hama, Anas Al-Naim, while elaborating on the details of the recent events, alleged that Salafi-Takfiris had been waging a war on the Syrian government.

He added that the situation was being exaggerated by Western and Arab media, including CNN, BBC, and Al-jazeera and Al-Arabia TV channels. The scribes were taken to the scenes of major damage: the burnt down military officers’ mess, the gutted justice department and the completely razed al-Hadr police station where 17 police officers were beheaded publicly. The guests were also taken to the canal where dead bodies of the police officers were thrown by armed attackers. During the visit to Hama, a small group of young men told the journalists that the rebel groups armed with guns, knives and petrol bombs had seized control of much of the town.
