'Virtual embassies, US psywar tactic'  http://almoqawama.org/?a=content.id&id=28457
Senior Iranian lawmakers react to the opening of a virtual US embassy for Iranians with some saying the move indicates Washington's disrespect for the people of Iran and others saying it is in line with American psywar.Head of the Majlis (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Alaeddin Boroujerdi added on Wednesday that the US government has no respect for Iranian citizens. “If American officials behaved according to international respect, they would not place on their agenda fingerprinting Iranian nationals in all countries,” the Majlis official news agency, ICANA, quoted him as saying. The lawmaker stated that imposing sanctions on passenger plane spare parts by the US is a war against the Iranian nation and not a war against the Iranian government and this “shows that the US has no respect for Iranian nationals.” The Iranian lawmaker declared the US as the enemy of the Iranian nation and said, “This country is guilty of threatening the lives of Iranians and [imposing] sanctions that target the Iranian nation.” Deputy head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Esmail Kowsari also commented on the topic saying that unless US officials change their policies, the people will not believe their double-standard behavior. “On the one hand, they say they want to counter terrorism and, on the other hand, they make backroom deals with terrorists and .. their actions are 180 degrees opposite their words. Therefore, the website [of the virtual embassy] will not receive any attention,” he said. He added that Iran's enemies have resorted to every means in order to accomplish their objectives and launching a virtual embassy is one such means. Lawmaker Mohammad Karamirad said that launching a virtual embassy is in line with the US psychological war launched against Iran.
“Given their behavior and their meddling, the Americans will get no results from launching a virtual embassy. They are even mulling military threats to put them on their agenda if they can,” he added.
