IRAN TO CONSTRUCT HYDRO POWER PLANT IN ECUADOR

 Ecuadorean Minister of Foreign and Trade Affairs Ricardo Patinio has said that Iran will construct a hydro power plant in Ecuador.He told reporters after a meeting with Minster of Energy Majid Namjoo here Wednesday that an Iranian company will soon start impmenting the project.Pointing to his negotiations with Namjoo, Patinio said his country has allocated a credit of USD 400 million to buy oil by-products from Iran."Iran and Ecuador have agreed to implement some projects which will be followed up by a joint committee composed of the two countries' ministers of energy, housing and head of the Ecuadorean National Water Institute," he said.
