Pres. Chavez called Israel attacks on Gaza ''savage aggression'' (+ VIDEO) President Hugo Chavez called ''savage aggression'' the  military attacks launched by Israel against the Palestinians in Gaza, in an operation to that left several fatalities.As part of a work table with part of the cabinet, the president denounced the beginning of the onslaught against the Gaza Strip.The Head of State recalled that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas stressed the intention to request entry of the future Palestinian state as a UN observer and, against this, the answer is aggression, said.Earlier this week, Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro, the Venezuelan government said it will vote in favor of recognition of that status for Palestine."We support the Palestinian people in all their struggles. Against this backdrop of UN there will our voice, our vote," he said.Maduro stressed "the long march of the Palestinian people towards full recognition to statehood, as an independent nation, the right to peace, to their ancestral lands."Israel launched Operation Defense Pilar with the assassination of Hamas military commander, Ahmed Jaabari, and conducted bombings that left about (25) people dead, including four children.
