Colombia Watch- "False positive" Army Sergeant jailed for four aggravated murder
Wiretapping and other material evidence presented by the prosecution allowed the Municipal Criminal Court in Medellin 42, with control functions guarantees, ensuring  prison sentence to William Darley Garcia Ospina, National Army Sargent, for his alleged role in the killings four civilians in the towns of Caldas and Segovia (Antioquia).The March 15, 2007 Battalion Pedro Nel Ospina of the Fourth Brigade, reported the death in combat of a course Caldas ELN guerrilla, identified as Jorge Humberto Restrepo Lotero.The next day, Battalion Energy and Road Number Eight of the same brigade reported in Segovia were killed during armed encounter three alleged extortionists identified as INRI Jesus Alzate, Diego Ferney Andres Jimenez and Julian Hernandez Montoya Henao.The researchers established that the victims were actually contacted by the unit c in the municipalities of Belalcázar and Risaralda (Caldas) to advance agricultural tasks in the department of Antioquia.Garcia Ospina, National Prison inmate in Bellavista, did not accept the charges filed by a prosecutor of the National Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law for the offenses of aggravated murder in uniform and future competition, and illegal possession of firearms self defense .By the same facts and motives and now serving  32 years and five months in prison for similar charges  Norberto Luis Serna,was also in charge of attracting potential victims with false promises labor employment.*
