by Syrian Institute for Progress (SIP)The SC sees a clear contradiction in dealing with the Syrian regime as a legitimate government doing its job like any other government, at the same time that the United Nations and its various institutions issues reports holding the regime responsible for the serious deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Syria, including the current government that was assigned by the head of the regime based on his interests! The SC wonders how it can be committed to neutrality if it doesn’t have an independent decision? Is it logical to provide aid to a regime responsible for destroying cities, bombing hospitals and bakeries and displacing population, so it can fix the dire situation it had created!

At a preview meeting today, it was clarified that the Forum is not for benefitting the diaspora, but for fostering development back home. Indeed the theme of the Forum is "moving forward by giving back" the emphasis being on "giving back". An important collateral benefit of this event is the participation of several related departments - [[[[Commerce, Peace Corps,]]]] ((((((DHS))))) - who rarely sit around the same table.

As an aside, today is the first time that (((((I received an invitation to today's preview meeting on the Forum not as a World Bank economist,))))(((( but as the host of Peoplemove blog.))))) [[[[[[[Peoplemove has arrived!]]]]]]

ETC... (IdEA: International Diaspora Engagement Alliance http://diasporaalliance.org/ ) its a coalition of many private stake holders,private foundations,government agencies,and international lending institutions(some wich actually fostered many diasporas). Now how can you claim to be impartial and condemn aid to Syria thru U.N. wich goes thru the legitimate Syrian govt towards affected citizens(unless hampered thru chaos and war fomented and exacerbated by parties allied and tied to us govt),some of wich you claim doenst reach some areas(under rebel control of course),then at same time you are tied to many parties wich create forced displacement on a massive scale,not just in Syria,BUT THE WORLD?[[[[[HAVE YOU SEEN HOW THESE GROUPS YOU ARE TIED TO HELPED SOMALIA?IT'S ON THEIR SITE,NOW GO CONTRAST THEIR PROPAGANDA,WITH THE REALITIES ON THE GROUND AND HIT THE WALL OF SHAME ALREADY!
