LEBANON WATCH-  Syrian found in possession of Satellite connection devices at Beirut Airport
Customs security officers in the Passengers' Section at Rafic Hariri International Airport halted on Saturday an attempt to enter satellite connection apparatuses into Lebanon by a Syrian passenger coming from Turkey.In details, the Syrian passenger was found to be in possession of said devices while crossing through the Customs' check-point at Beirut Airport upon arrival from Turkey on board the Turkish Airlines flight on Saturday. Three satellite-internet connection apparatuses were found in his luggage. The passenger was immediately detained at the Airport and then handed-over to Military Police after informing the Government's Delegate at the Military Court of his case. NNA field correspondent to Bekaa said Saturday that four masked gunmen riding an unidentified car emptied around a thousand liters of diesel fuel, spilling it all over the road, from a truck belonging to a Syrian national which was parked at the junction of Rashaya at dawn today. A similar incident also occurred with another Syrian national's truck. The offenders fled to an unknown destination.Security forces directly descended on the area and shut down the slippery road to prevent traffic accidents. An investigation has begun into this incident.
