"Our main enemy is imperialism." This assertion has pervaded all the interventions of the Bureau's analysis of the situation of this second day of the national meeting of the movement of the Asissted by dams (MAB, Movimento dos Atingidos por Barragens), which brings together about two thousand five hundred people between 2 and 5 September in Cotia, São Paulo.The space of the Tuesday morning analyzed the correlation of forces in the current national and international scenario as well as the possibilities of resistance of the working class, social movements, and specifically the MAB.The Professor of the FEderal University of ABC, Igor Fuser, highlighted the strategic importance of natural resources and the mechanisms of imperialist appropriation. "We won't allow the Government to remove the body"

In the perspective of this context of intrnsificacion of the popular struggles, a member of the national coordination of MAB, Joceli Andrioli, reaffirmed the need for the fight against multinationals in power. "Here in Brazil there is a real assault on the nation's wealth by international capital. Hydroelectric dams, that is reflected in extraordinary profits and high prices on account of light thousands of affected without guaranteed rights", he said.

In relation to the Government, he commented on the importance of the position of the social movements. "In these 20 years of organization affected, we had achievements, but still we cannot guarantee our rights. It is shameful that there is a policy of rights of those affected in Brazil. We are not going to admit that the Government remove the body. We know the importance of progressive Governments in Latin America.
