The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) announced this month that two former central bank governors have joined the think tank.In early September, CFR announced that Stanley Fischer, former Bank of Israel Governor has joined CFR as a Distinguished Fellow.Last week, CFR announced that Mervyn King, former Bank of England Governor and Chief Economist, has joined CFR as a Distinguished Visiting Fellow.Those two are the newest addition to a variety of other high-profile scholars and practitioners on economics and geoeconomics at CFR, including:

  • Robert Rubin, former US Treasury Secretary
  • Timothy Geithner, former US Treasury Secretary
  • Peter Orszag, former Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB)
  • Jagdish Bhagwati, Professor at Colombia University
