Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseini says Hollywood serves the military interests and objectives of the US establishment.  “Hollywood has played a significant role in fulfilling military and imperialist objectives of the US since the Vietnam War and the Cold War in different parts of the world,” Hosseini was quoted by Mehr News Agency as saying on Saturday.  The Iranian minister made the remarks in the inauguration ceremony of the Persian Gulf Cultural and Artistic Complex in Iran's Qeshm Island. 

“Hundreds of movies have been made by Hollywood to justify the military presence of the United States in other countries, which indicates the utilization of cultural and artistic instruments for the justification and glorification of Washington's military aims,” the Iranian minister went on to say. Hollywood depicts itself as an advocate of human rights; however, this huge institution actually operates towards the fulfillment of evil objectives of the US government, he noted.
