In Bolivia...ALBA(Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas)Defense School to be open this Tuesday http://www.abn.info.ve/node/60353

This Tuesday afternoon will be opened in Bolivia the School of Defense of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA), with the aim to strengthen integration among the bloc"s member states and devise strategies to answer before threats posed by foreign interventions in the continent.Bolivian Defense Minister Ruben Saavedra informed that the training center, which will work in the eastern area of the country, will provide military training not only to soldiers but also to civilians, reported Patria Grande website.

“We think it is a very significant progress. The goal is to train not only soldiers but also civilians who are interested on the issue of security and defense,” said Minister Saavedra.Last week, Saavedra said, ALBA representatives visited the facilities of the training center, located in Santa Cruz city, eastern Bolivia. There, they took the opportunity to review the proposal of an accord to create the School of Defense.“They were very pleased with the current infrastructure. Now, it is necessary to devise the pensum of the school.”

Previously, Bolivian President Evo Morales expressed that member states of the Alliance have “everything ready for an ALBA school for the Armed Forces, in which will be projected a definitive freedom. A school of freedom shall be fostered, as a new doctrine, in the Armed Forces with its reserves and original members.”President Morales will attend the opening ceremony this Tuesday, accompanied by high-ranking delegates of ALBA member states.The Alliance is made by Venezuela, Cuba, Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
