Frozen prices in clinics protect Venezuelans, guarantee people's health http://www.avn.info.ve/node/72878

The measure implemented on Tuesday August 16 freezing the prices of health services in clinics, private health centers and consumable suppliers are aimed at “protecting Venezuelans and ensuring people"s health,” stressed this Wednesday Health Minister, Eugenia Sader.She explained that said measure, agreed on Tuesday in a meeting between Government authorities and representatives of the Venezuelan Association of Private Clinics and Hospitals, will make citizens “feel safe regarding stability of prices.”

Sader informed that the measure will be in force for at least three weeks, while studies are conducted on the structure of costs in private health centers so as to establish then a scale of prices for all the services rendered in clinics and for consumable suppliers.“This measure is in accordance to the presidential decree on regulation of costs and prices. It is necessary to protect people and ensure people"s health.”
