Syria's National Economic Dialogue Forum concluded its three-day session here with the participation of 300 economic, social, academic and union figures from all the provinces. The participants reached a number of recommendations which focused on the fields of agriculture, industry, administrative reform, housing, health, tourism, energy, finance, social protection and macro economy. They recommended increasing the volume of agricultural and livestock investments and focusing on cultivating manufacturable products according to the demands and preference of export target markets and the local markets. They called for a review of the outdated agricultural laws which do not meet the new agricultural processing operations, construction of natural storage dams in al-Badia (the Syrian Desert) to preserve the animal resources, developing the system of granting agricultural loans, stopping the export of agricultural products which are locally cultivated and cover the Syrian market and the possibility of digging wells in the border areas.
