French Writers: Syria Subjected To NATO War, Brahimi Refused Qatari Orders
The French daily, "Le Figaro", reported Monday that "the UN envoy to Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi, has refused the Qatari Prime and Foreign Minister Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabr's request to visit him in his residence, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Cairo."In an article for the French journalist Georges Malbrunot, the daily quoted an Arab diplomat in Cairo as saying that "Brahimi responded to Jassim's call by saying "if he wants to see me, let him come to my hotel"."Hamad subjected to the international envoy's statement and came Brahimi's hotel. There, the Qatari top official heard Brahimi's rejection to his country's demands, including a deadline for the envoy's mission in Syria, and the transfer of power."I do not work in such manner. I am the United Nation's Secretary-General envoy and I do not want anyone to set me limits," Brahimi told his guest. The article then unveiled that "bin Jassim left the room angry and did not participate Brahimi's meeting with the Arab ambassadors."The Arab diplomat stressed that "Brahimi wants to meet everyone, including the Iranians, before proposing a solution."
In the same context, the French writer Chantal Debelle commented that "what is happening in Syria is a war waged by NATO against a sovereign State.""They are making use of an extreme, intolerant, obscurantist and brutal opposition against the Syrian, secular, and tolerant state exercising its right to defend its territory and sovereignty by all available means," she added. The writer further mentioned that "the country is at a war exposed from the outside.""Everything that is happening in Syria is fabricated by Western intelligence to destabilize this country that is not subjected and refuse to be governed by dictators or a US-funded Army," she highlighted.Deelle concluded that " the West wants to replace the current power with puppets that allow them to loot the country and seize its wealth."
