List of Global Governance Organizations

World Federalist MovementThe World Federalist Movement, of which CGS is a member organization, supports the creation of democratic global structures accountable to the citizens of the world and call for the division of international authority among separate agencies, a separation of powers among judicial, executive and parliamentary bodies. Only truly democratic and representative bodies can have legitimate authority over all levels of government. We are dedicated to protecting the rights of every person on the planet and preserving the environment for the global community. WFM serves as the International Secretariat for over thirty Members and Associated Organizations worldwide.http://www.wfm.org/

World Beyond BordersWorld Beyond Borders seeks to make the real world a place without borders, where people recognize each other’s common humanity and celebrate both cultural diversity and our fundamental unity; where everybody’s basic needs are met in ways that allow all of us to thrive; where war has been abolished and conflicts are resolved through political and legal means; and where our loyalties to our planet and the human species come before national loyalties.http://www.worldbeyondborders.org/index.htm

One World Trust (OWT)The One World Trust promotes education and research into the changes required within global organizations in order to achieve the eradication of poverty, injustice and war. It conducts research on practical ways to make global organizations more responsive to the people they affect, and on how the rule of law can be applied equally to all. It educates political leaders and opinion-formers about the findings of its research. Its guiding vision is a world where all peoples live in peace and security and have equal access to opportunity and participation.http://www.oneworldtrust.org/

International Campaign for the Establishment of a United Nations Parliamentary AssemblyThe Campaign for the Establishment of a United Nations Parliamentary Assembly is a global network of parliamentarians and non-governmental organizations advocating for citizens' representation at the United Nations. A United Nations Parliamentary Assembly would be the first parliamentary body directly representing the world's citizens in the United Nations. It is envisaged as first practical step towards the long-term goal of a world parliament.http://en.unpacampaign.org/index.php

Global Governance ProjectThe Global Governance Project is a joint research programme of 12 European research institutions that seeks to advance understanding of the new actors, institutions and mechanisms of global governance. While we address the phenomenon of global governance in general, most of our research projects focus on global environmental change and governance for sustainable development.http://www.glogov.org/

Democratic World FederalistsThe goals of Democratic World Federalists, an offshoot of the World Federalist Association, CGS’s preceding organization, are the abolition of war and crimes against humanity, the promotion of a just world community through the development of enforceable world law, and the preservation of a livable and healthful global environment. Achievement of these goals requires the establishment of a democratic federal world government with powers adequate to: keep the peace, protect individual human rights, assist in the promotion of a just world community, and prevent environmental degradation and depletion of resources essential to human life.http://www.dwfed.org/index.html

Coalition for Democratic World GovernmentThe Coalition for Democratic World Government is a combination of organizations working in various ways toward a civilized system of world law. A democratic federal world government, founded on a world constitution with a global bill of human rights, will protect cultural diversity throughout the world and enable the human family to act as one to protect its common global home.http://www.cdwg.org/homebot.htm
