Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has inaugurated four major projects worth about 420 million dollars in West Azarbaijan Province.The Maragheh-Miandoab railway opened to traffic in the presence of President Ahmadinejad in the western city of Miandoab on Monday . The 48-km railway was set up at the cost of about 70 million dollars.The president also launched phases 5 and 6 of a combined cycle gas plant, a factory producing vaccine for Foot-and-Mouth disease and a cement factory via a video conference.

The combined cycle gas plant, with the capacity of 1,000 MW, was built at the cost of about 170 million dollars in the city of Orumieh. The Foot-and-Mouth disease vaccine factory, which was constructed in Mahabad at the coast of 40 million dollars, can produce 100 million doses of vaccine every year.Khoy cement factory, which cost 140 million dollars, has the capacity to produce more than one million tons of cement each year.
