Police said the bomb was hidden in a bag left in the German Bakery restaurant, a favorite of Jewish and European visitors, when it was full of tourists on Saturday evening.
Before Mumbai, a wave of bombs hit Indian cities in 2008, killing more than 100 people.Police blamed most of those attacks on home-grown Muslim militants, and a little-known group called the "Indian Mujahideen" claimed responsibility for some attacks.
But some Hindu militants have also been suspected of carrying out several attacks.G.K. Pillai, a senior home ministry official, told reporters that the Pune ashram was one site surveyed by David Headley, arrested in the United States last year and charged him with scouting targets for the Mumbai rampage.

Speaking to reporters, Indian Home Secretary Gopal Krishna Pillai said that the explosion was caused by a package which contained ammonium nitrate fuel oil, mixed with a military-type high explosive, known as RDX, and that the attack was clearly terrorist in nature. It was the biggest terror attack in India since the attack on the Chabad center and several hotels in Mumbai fourteen months ago.

Opposition BJP today attacked the Maharashtra government over the Pune blast, alleging it was engaged in protecting the makers of the film "My Name is Khan" leaving the terrorists scot free to attack. "The whole Congress led government and police in Maharashtra were engaged in protecting the interests of the actor, director, producer and distributor of 'My Name is Khan' on the orders of Rahul Gandhi," BJP vice president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said. He said "this left the terrorists scot free to attack innocent people in Pune."

BJP spokesman Prakash Jawadekar, who visited the blast site, on Saturday night demanded government reconsider the proposed dialogue with Pakistan in the wake of the blast in Pune. "Terror and talks cannot go together" he told reporters at the blast site. Jawadekar said the blast in the city was "a terrorist attack" and asked "what is the logic in holding talks".
comment-this reeks of false flag...BJP is a ultra rightwing political party who has committed false flags in order to blame kashmiri resistance or pakistan in order to scale up the polls under platform of security.Karkare ex head of counter terrorism in india the night he was ambushed and assasinated( the night of mumbai attack)he was investigating BJP for an earlier false flag scandal involving seniors in indian military(one retired) .He also was investigating Nariman House(The Nariman House (Marathi: नरीमन हाउस), renamed as Chabad House ( The building was home to a Chabad house, a Jewish outreach center run by Chabad-Lubavitch)for ties to BJP.
comment-whats odd about what BJP stated?[In New Delhi, the BJP claimed that the Maharashtra government was engaged in protecting the makers of My Name is Khan, leaving the terrorists free to carry out the attack.]
whats odd about this is the fact its a referral to this movie just released...My Name Is Khan is handshake between India and the West http://www.dnaindia.com/entertainment/report_my-name-is-khan-is-handshake-between-india-and-the-west_1347542
“It is the first film that tries to force a discussion on the very important topic of terrorism post-9/11, and the Muslim point of view on it, in the US and the rest of the world," said Gaulke. "And to carry this discussion through the very famous Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is very good and an important move.”

The Jordanian security authorities arrested two journalists, Mowafaq Mahadin and Sufian Al-Tal, for criticizing the cooperation of the Royal Jordanian Intelligence Services officer Captain Al-Sharif Ali bin Zaid with the illegal occupation of the United States in Afghanistan.
The public prosecutor of the State Security Court ordered the detention of Mahadin and al-Tal after a group of retired army personnel filed a lawsuit accusing them of “offending the armed forces and betraying their blood.”

The Mysterious Death of Bush's Cyber-Guru http://www.maxim.com/humor/stupid-fun/86265/mysterious-death-bushs-cyber-guru.html
But it was while serving as tech guru to Karl Rove that Connell developed his deepest and perhaps most problematic professional relationship. Recruited in the late ’80s, Connell became Rove’s most trusted cyberlieutenant: a Web wizard who could turn portals into power and who would gain access to the very heights of American politics by the time he reached 30 years old. Connell’s two Ohio-based companies, New Media Communications and GovTech, became virtual research and development labs for the Republican Party, building and managing Web sites and e-mail accounts for both Presidents Bush and a long list of leading Republicans.
GovTech also designed and managed numerous Congressional IT systems, including those for the House Intelligence and Judiciary committees, putting Connell “behind the fire wall” of some of the most sensitive gov--ernment Web sites from the safety of the Bush White House.Ohio’s secretary of state in 2004 was a fiercely partisan Christian named Ken Blackwell. Blackwell had hired a company called GDC Limited to run the IT systems,
which had subcontracted the job to Michael Connell’s company, GovTech. Connell had in turn sub-contracted SMARTech, an IT firm based in Chattanooga, to act, it was claimed, as a backup server.“By looking at the URLs on the Web site, we discovered that there were three points on election night when SMARTech’s computers took over from the secretary of state,” says Arnebeck. “It is during that period that we believe votes were manipulated.”In computer jargon it is known as a man-in-the-middle attack.
