National Assembly could pass all six popular power laws within next six months http://www.pr-inside.com/venezuela-s-national-assembly-could-r1781843.htm

The National Assembly could pass all the law drafts concerning popular power block 1within a six month period and of course, before the upcoming parliamentary elections in September. That is the personal opinion of deputy Ulises Daal, member of the Permanent citizen participation committee. The block contains six bills, he declared, aimed at strengthening popular power and consisting of the following: law of participation and popular power, law of social comptrollership. law of social property, law of public planning, the reform of law of reform of decree with rank, force and value of popular economy and finally, the law for the Communes.

Daal considered that the participation and popular power law is key because it provides the framework for all the rest and deals with popular organization, popular public planning and social property in general. The law has already been passed at a first reading on December 16 ... the public planning and popular power law has also been passed. The deputy revealed that work is advanced on the popular power law and timetables to complete work on the other laws will be set and announced shortly.

The social property law, he said, will be sent to the house coordinating committee once the committee board decides ... at the moment, the citizen participation committee is still reviewing the bill.In other news, the Assembly has just passed the first reading of the national financial system law, which will "regulate, supervise, control and coordinate the system to direct the use and investment of resources towards public interest within the framework of creating a real social state of law and justice."The law will define the functioning of each sector of the national financial system so that they undertake only those activities strictly inherent in what they have been authorized to do.
