SPINWATCH-Peruvian Defense Minister deplores poor counternarcotics aid by Venezuela http://english.eluniversal.com/2010/03/15/en_pol_esp_peru-regrets-poor-ai_15A3588211.shtml

Peruvian Defense Minister Rafael Rey deplored on Monday that the Venezuelan government has not further cooperated with his government in counternarcotics efforts, highlighting at the same time, the good will of the Colombian government in this regard."There is not much cooperation between the Venezuelan and the Peruvian government in the fight against drug traffic, unlike Colombia," Rey told Efe during an interview in Madrid.

The Peruvian minister made a presentation on Monday at the forum Spanish-American Tribune, hosted by the House of the Americas and news agency Efe. During the event, he also referred to the "suspicions of most of the drugs to Central America coming through Venezuelan territory from Colombia.""Some references in Venezuela point to a real problem of an exit way used by drug traffic, sourcing in Colombia," the minister said in the interview.
