Prime Minister of the Palestinian government in Gaza Strip Ismail Haniya said Friday the US House of Representatives' approval of a resolution to cut aid to the Palestinian Authority (PA) if it sought UN recognition of a future state was a "political blackmail." Haniya, speaking to reporters after opening a mosque in southern Gaza City, said the resolution clearly "shows that all aid and money from the American administration to PA are conditional political assistance to keep the PA in the position of concenssion of the Palestinian rights.

"Palestine, our dignity and Al-Quds come first and we cannot bow to financial blackmail," he added.The US lawmakers approved the resolution with an overwhelming 406-6 vote.On the Palestinian conciliation agreement, Haniya attributed slow implementation to the "American and Israeli interference" and the Fatah movement which changed its priorities
