Hundreds of thousands of Citizens Voice Support to Stability of Syria http://www.rohama.org/en/pages/?cid=5707

Hundreds of thousands of citizens poured into the streets in a mass rally at Tartous Sea Corniche to express adherence to national unity and preserving the security and stability of Syria and support to the comprehensive reform program led by President Bashar al-Assad.They also voiced rejection of foreign interference in Syria's internal affairs. The participants gathered from the city and countryside of Tartous, Baniyas, Safita, Dreikish, Sheikh Badr, Kadmous and the villages along the coastline.

They hailed the sacrifices of the Syrian army who is fighting armed terrorist groups and observed a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs, calling for confronting the conspiracy which seeks to destabilize Syria. Leader of a national campaign Abdullah al-Muhammad stressed the importance of the national army in achieving security and stability and putting an end to the acts of terrorist groups and media instigation led by some TV channels.Ayham al-Ghanem and Fadi Ahmad from the National Unity Convoy said that they took part in this rally to show support to the comprehensive reform program, voicing rejection of the misleading media campaigns.

Imam of al-Hussein Mosque Sheikh Muhammad Hilal and Father Mahfoud Khoury called for building the country and implementing the reforms to get over the current stage as to meet the aspirations of the Syrian people.The participants said they won't compromise their national unity nor will they allow anyone to tamper with it.They indicated that the homeland deserves the dearest of sacrifices to preserve its security and stability, affirming that the blood of martyrs will remain a symbol of sacrifice that further enhances national unity.

Pro-Syrian regime groups arrived at Beirut’s Riad al-Solh Square on Monday evening to start a rally in support of the Syrian regime, the National News Agency reported. Meanwhile, the report added that anti-Syrian regime activists marching toward the Grand Serail reached the Zokak al-Blat neighborhood of central Beirut under the protection of security forces. NNA reported earlier on Monday that independent activists started a rally at the Mathaf neighborhood in Beirut in support of the Syrian people and planned to march toward the Grand Serail.

Lebanon's political scene is split between supporters of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime, led by Hezbollah, ''''''''and a pro-Western camp headed by former PM Saad Hariri.''''''''''
