President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said herer on Monday that the enemies are trying to hinder reconstruction of Iran by telling lies and disseminating false news about those who truly serve the nation. The President made the remark during a ceremony to simultaneously inaugurate three development projects in this southeastern province. He stressed that the enemies who were seeking to sow discord and create ballyhoo in the country by mispresenting the main issues in the country will surely fail in their evil schemes.

Noting that Iran should be recognized in the world as an exemplary country which could set paradigms in cultural, economic, reconstruction and prosperity, he said reconstructing the country is now considered a revolutionary act which has been inspired by religious teachings. Touching upon international issues, President Ahmadinejad cautioned regional countries not to let certain people act in favor of the enemies. He also advised them to use their countries' rich resources to improve the lives of their nations.

President Ahmadinejad who arrived here this morning, inaugurated Zirdan and Kahir roller-compacted concrete (RCC) dams in the region via a video conference. The Zirdan dam is built with a total budget of 1,610 billion rials and is to supply drinking water for residents of the two provincial cities of Chabahar and Konarak while the Kahir dam is located some 110 km from Konarak and 5 km from Kahir village.The Kahir dam is to provide water for industrial and agricultural purposes in the province as well as drinking water for local residents.

Chabahar is a free port (Free Trade Zone) on the coast of the Gulf of Oman. It is situated on the Makran Coast of the Sistan and Baluchestan province Earlier in the day, President Ahmadinejad attended inaugural ceremony of a combined cycle power plant located some 30 km east of Chabahar. The power plant was built with a total cost of 66 million euro plus 330 billion rials. It is the largest power plant in the province and is to provide up to 30 percent of the local energy demands
