Venezuelan Ambassador to Iran David Velasquez has dismissed any type of uranium exchange deal between Venezuela and Iran. “We have uranium reserves and don’t sell or consume it,” he said, adding that the claim about shipment of uranium from Venezuela to Tehran via Damascus is “a big lie”. Velasquez made the remarks during a press conference in a ceremony which was held to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Venezuela’s national day at the Venezuelan Embassy in Tehran on Sunday.Velasquez said despite imperialists’ will to get news about Chavez’s death, he is in good health and is currently leading the country
