The Ultra RightWing people's Party (PP) today urged the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trinidad Jimenez,into giving its support to the platform that brings together the opposition against President Hugo Chavez, as a sign of its commitment to democracy in Venezuela.The spokesman for the opposition PP in the Commission of Ibero-American Affairs of the Senate (the upper House of Parliament Spanish)Dionisio García Carnero, placed Jiménez to meet with the Bureau of Democratic Unity (MUD), which is practically all of the Venezuelan right-wing parties.García Carnero, reported the plans of a delegation from the MUD of visit Spain in late September or early October to request support before the presidential elections next year.

According to García RAM, the Government of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero must "rectify" its policy with Venezuela and denounce "abuses" of the regime, rather than "laugh thanks to chavism and look the other way".The MP of the PP was convinced that "chavism, with Chávez or Chavez is losing ground in Venezuelan society". The direct partner of the PP in Venezuela is the Copei party, who has obtained a tiny vote in recent elections.
