The United Nations Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) issued a statement on Monday denying information published on Al-Arabiya website last week.“The UNHCR has categorically denied the information published on the website of Al-Arabiya news channel on August 5 quoting French sources and attributing inaccurate statements to UNHCR,” said the statement, adding,

“The same statement draws reference to a report which the High Commissioner for Refugees has no connection to, and which has also recently been carried in newspapers in Lebanon.”Al-Arabiya television reported on Friday that a UN commission linked to the UNHCR announced that Iran and Hezbollah are “involved in killing Syrian soldiers who refuse to shoot at protesters."
