Interior Relations and Justice Minister Tareck El Aissami informed Thursday that 36 clandestine landing strips were found and disabled in western state of Apure, in the frontier with Colombia, allegedly owned by drug trafficking organizations to smuggle their products using Venezuela as transit nation.
The World Happiness Report 2012 presented by Columbia University, in the United States, recognized Venezuela as the happiest country in South America and placed it second in Latin America.
2,492 dwelling units will be allocated today in the Capital District and in states of Nueva Esparta, Barinas, Miranda and Lara, during Thursday of Houses as it is called the mass allocation carried out every week on behalf of the National Government amid the Grand Housing Mission Venezuela.
Communication and Information Minister Andres Izarra informed in his Twitter account that 1,842 houses will be allocated in Barinas, 348 in Miranda, 193 in Nueva Esparta, 73 in Lara and 36 in Caracas.
Last week, the National Government allocated 3,052 dwelling units in states Anzoategui (852), Aragua (1,067), Bolivar (31), Cojedes (361), Lara (503) and Zulia (238).
The Grand Housing Mission Venezuela has allocated 59,434 dwelling units throughout the year, representing 29.7 percent of the goal set for the year 2012, stipulated in 200,000 homes.
The goal of the Bolivarian Government is to put up 3 million homes between 2013 and 2019.
