Panama - The member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) are sponsoring a film series beginning Wednesday called "Latin America in Documentaries," with the support of the Experimental Group of University Cinema.The films will be shown at the former Channel 11 studios, and the series opens with the screening today of the Oliver Stone documentary "South of the Border," about the revolutionary process underway in Venezuela, led by President Hugo Chavez.
The series continues week later on July 6 with the screening of a Bolivian short, "Humillados y Ofendidos" (Humiliated and Offended), by Cesar Brie.The series ends on July 13 with the Cuban documentary series "Las Razones de Cuba" (Cuba's Reasons), which exposes the U.S. government blockade and aggression against Cuba in detail, including its cover-up of terrorists and criminals such as Luis Posada Carriles.
