Iran's Law Enforcement Police squads have seized large volumes of different types of narcotics in a small city in the country's Southern province of Fars during the last Iranian year (ended on March 21), a senior provincial official announced on Wednesday. "Thanks to the efforts and persistence showed by the Iranian security and law enforcement forces, around 8 tons of narcotics were seized last year," Governor of Larestan said on Wednesday. He mentioned that the figure amounts to one-fifth of total seizures in the province during the said period.
