Uzi Landau, Israel's Minister of National Infrastructure, said recently Israel would annex the West Bank if Palestine achieved statehood. And Israel's foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman said this week Israel would renounce peace agreements with the Palestinians if they continue to seek state recognition at the UN. The majority of UN member states are expected to ratify Palestinian statehood this fall should a vote be held.
